Those pictures are "random" so there is no way to reference exactly what you are talking about...

Hmmm I've not come across the shortie before. I've always liked the fly screen look and have them on most of my naked machines. Who has one? What's it like compared to the OEM screen?

I have not seen that MRA screen before. I bought the Calsci but I have not tried it yet. That MRA is shorter yet and I like it. Plus, it comes in light smoke and clear!

It looks like Twisted Throttle is the only importer for MRA and they don't offer this screen?

The lowest of the VStream screens is black. Not as low as some others but looks good and gives a fair amount of protection - better than the stock screen.

I have the CalSci tinted shorty that I run during the summer months. It does allow for more buffeting during highway jaunts but that's to be expected with it's size.

Really? I have the same screen. At 5'11" w/ 30" inseam I get NO buffeting on the highway. In fact, the screen is WAY better than stock. This isn't to say that there is no air on the highway, but the air is smooth. Just like riding a naked bike. It is up to the aero design of your helmet to control buffeting with the short screen.

I have that same CalSCi screen, and to smooth out the airflow for me, I had to space the bottom of the screen out.

I noticed the buffeting after I added the Madstad bracket. I will probably run the shorty without it and the Givi with. My RF1100 has been a great helmet on my other bikes.

The shorty is only 2 inches shorter than stock, is that low enough to eliminate buffeting and get clean air?

Can not stand buffeting which creates discomfort and rather have clean air which is nice in the hot weather as well.

Is the CalSci shorty the way to go?

MRA makes one, and so does Power bronze. I have a California Scientific which I was thoroughly disappointed with. It was a single bend, cheap, thin, piece of crap. The edges still had their saw marks, that were barely sanded. It arrives in a nice cloth bag with some spray cleaner but that doesn't come close to covering up the quality issue. MRA and Powerbronze both look to be compound molded and a much higher end product. I have a MRA touring screen and the difference in quality between that and the Calsci is night and day. Too bad, because I am always looking to buy U.S.

Great idea and save a lot of money!
Will try to import one to oz, they might even sell it here?
Many thanks!
Thanks. I've had it on for several thousand miles now, I like it.

If you want the KTM plate and cannot find it locally, I might be inclined to ship one to you. I can't imagine shipping is terribly expensive to Au, it's very lightweight after all.
