Went to the dealer yesterday in San Jose, CA and they said all delivery dates now say July. Is anyone else hearing July?

I just got word from my Yamaha dealer, we all should be receiving a letter in the next week, all tenere orders are cancelled until November. You have a month to decide if you want to keep your order, or cancel, and get a full refund. I myself, am cancelling, 14 months is to long for any bike, I dont care if it's made of gold, so the search begins

I just noticed the first cancellation notice on the database. If I get some time I'll trawl the relevant threads and update it with any others that I find. It's a piece of our history so it should be done as much as it disappoints me

Well everyone...I also fell victim to the very difficult choice of calling my dealer and cancelling my PDP order. Someone else will get to have the blue beast that had my name on it. If I had another scoot to ride this summer during my wait the choice would have been different. I opted to purchase a new 2011 Kawasaki Versys and have put 60 miles on it already. The Super Tenere will be around awhile and I'm sure I will have the opportunity to procure one in the future.

I will be checking in with this site from time to time for reason of "keeping in the know" and am I glad I was one of the early members who supports this site.
I updated my order info in the database to cancelled and also noticed that someone else already removed my info on the member map.

Cheers to all of you and I can't wait to start hearing the stories when you all start receiving your bikes.
In the meantime I gotta go play with my Versys...it is a fun scoot too

Not having a bike for ann entire riding season would bite, you made the best decision for you. Maybe you will get a S10 in a year or two. But it is cool that you will still be a part of the forum! Enjoy your Versys and let us know what you thin about it.

I orded a blue one on 5-7-11 but it's a Yamaha Dealer bike (Sacramento - PCP Motorsports) so I don't have a order number. When I ordered it they told me it I should get it by Nov. I plan on calling them this week and see if they can give me a update.

The latest update from Yamaha is that they will ALL be delivered by the end of August.

I weaseled in on a canceled order at D&H Cycle in Cullman, AL yesterday afternoon at about 4:30. It's a Raven. I didn't get the order number but Jerold is good to his word, I'm sure. I'm glad he had one outstanding and that I called. Gave me a delivery date of August. So I only have to wait two or three months! O
