3. They SR10 uses the mono connection and the SM10 uses the stereo A2DP connection. This means that the only way to get streaming audio from a phone to your headset when using the SM10 is with a wired connection from the phone to the SM10. This might not be the case using the new multipoint connection. I haven't tried it yet. The SR10 will not occupy the "media" connection that is required to stream music to your headset from a smartphone. However, if you hook a music player or phone by wire to the SR10, you will hear music, but it will be mono.
I am under the impression that with the new multipoint pairing, I should be able to pair both the "media" and "phone" connections to my iphone AND pair the "media" connection to the SM10, simultaneously.
Yes, please report back.
To better define my interest, I want a system that does the following:
1. Pair the phone directly to the headset for infrequent calls. (I have an iPhone5.)
2. Possibly play streaming music from the phone. (Not sure I'd use this - in the past I've found it too distracting, but I'd like to try it again.)
3. Allow bike-to-bike short range intercom.
4. Have RD alerts immediately sound and not preempt any bike-to-bike communication that might be occurring (which might have started both before or after the alert).
No interest in passenger sharing of music, playing other audio sources, etc.
In limited reading I've done, I've got he impression that perhaps the SR10 is the better option to bring the RD in, but I'm not sure. Also don't know the relative costs of the SM10 vs. SR10.
Thanks,
