Me and the Mrs are going. Leaving June 7 from San Fran. Probably won't go to Prudhoe bay. Doing the national parks tour thing.
I remember your quick trip to Tracy CA where you dropped off your Tenere and enjoyed some sailing. Have you stopped grinning yet? Let us know and we will put a gathering together before you leave.

Man, killing me. We fly in on Friday evening and we have to have the wheels turning on Saturday morning to make our schedule. No time, again.

I wanna RETIRE! :)
(But my kids are still spending my money)

A 6 month ride? I'm gotta do that.
It's the only way I'll ever make Whitehorse and sleep on Rems porch.
Not retired. Wife and kids running the business while I am gone. They will never know how much I appreciate them doing that so I can go.

On your way to everywhere, , Iowa
If Michelle can get 2 weeks at once ,I plan on taking her to Hyder this summer.
Brake her in easy with the bears.
I had to agree to get a cabin while at Hyder. [ she won't camp with that many bears]

Don't forget you also have Stewart for lodging opportunities. A buddy and I did Hyder in summer 2011, the plan is to take the SO back this year. Fortunately I'm a little closer than you...2 big days or an easy three day sight-seeing trip north.

Have fun and ride safe!

Will be heading north to Fairbanks around mid June. Son lives in Fairbanks and will be taking up a new F-150 to him. Plan on loading the S-10 in the back and doing some riding while up there before riding back to Washington. Willing to accompany anyone on rides while up there and will be looking for someone to ride back with when heading back. Time frame for return is flexible and may need to help the boy do some work on his house.

At this point, I won't be able to do the Purdhoe bay ride, I would love to but I will have a week or less to do this ride. So I am interested and doing a Hyder ride, over a long weekend. A little further is certainly an option.

That's almost a thousand miles one way...

I did the Alaska run up to Prudhoe bay from Chicago last year. Some of the greatest memories ever. If you can make it happen, then you should.
You should also take up Rem on his offer. We stayed there a night and it was great meeting him and his wife. Their hospitality was awesome. Like a lot of trips the highlights are the sights and the people. I get jealous when I hear of other people going wishing that I could do it all over again. I do hope to get back up there some day.

I have the wisdom and inclination for this trip, and may , fortunately have the time. Any proposed dates?
