Hello,

I'm looking for a more comfortable seat. I tried Sargent but wasn't crazy about the cover. I'm willing to give them another try though. I'm interested in trying pretty much any of them for the right price.

Thanks for the time.

Are you telling, trying to start a discussion, or asking?

Have you tried flattening it with the bumpers already?
Is it the grippiness of the cover that bothers you?
The shape?
Are you asking for somebody to offer to sell you something?

Hey Checkswrecks,

Not really looking to start a discussion as there are plenty of seat threads already.

I'm looking for a different seat and hoping someone here has one that they are ready to move along. I haven't tried the bumper mod but I've considered it many times. May try it in the very near future if a new seat doesn't materialize. The Sargent was comfortable enough just a little more slippery than I like. I really like the texture of the stock seat.

The shorter bumpers make a considerable difference. You can also raise the nose by adding a washer or two under the latch. These changes can correct the ergo issues of the stock seat.

If it is a padding issue then you need to look for another seat or have your seat rebuilt/recovered.

If the Sargent seat is comfortable for you, why not have it recovered by a local upholstery shop with a grippier material?

That will cost a lot less than a new seat.

My ST has a Seat Concepts for me and Passenger seat is just a matching Seat Concepts cover. The kit provides new foam and cover for your stock pan. You can also send them you seat for them to do the work. I purchased an inexpensive air gun upholstery stapler on Amazon and did it myself. Not hard to do.
And yes this is my favorite seat I have ever used. Note that the Seat Concepts is 3/4" taller than stock. Good for me as I m 6'4" tall with 34 inseam. I use it on the higher stock setting.I have owned Sargent and Corbin on past bikes.
Do a search as lots of pictures of this seat are available including mine.
