I've seen the mod to level the seat by altering the 'bumpers' on the back of the seat to lower it. Anybody try to raise the front to level? I'm 6' 4" so that would probably be the better way to go for me.

Based on the latching mechanism, I think your best bet is to add foam to seat height.

I need to go look at it but what if you put a spacer in between the latch and the seat, added some bumper height on the front and left the rear alone. It still might slightly lower the rear (lifting the front lowers the rear a little) so a spacer in the hook on the rear might be required. I will try to look tomorrow

Folks I tried this last night. And I have to say it worked perfectly; for me!
Give this a shot if you think it leans too much.

Thank you Reg IT!!! That just may be the best (and cheapest) mod I ever do.

I am bring back this old tread because after searching I still do not see an answer to the OP.

Has anyone tried creating a spacer for between the frame and the rear tank mount which also holds the front seat latch. I played around with this last weekend and I think by raising up the whole latch assembly and the front 2 stock seat spacers one could get the seat level with out changing the back from the high position.

Because the tank gets raised up in this process extra rubber spacers would be needed for the tank supports as well.

I am thinking about coming with a spacer this weekend and just wanted to see if anyone else has tried it before I try to reinvent the wheel.

Something has been done about the same as what you are talking about.
Put two washers under the metal locking tang on the seat. Next I put two felt pads, like those used for chair feet, on the black plastic piece where the front seat rubbers sit.

In my opinion this was not enough for me so I did the Road Star rubbers also.

Hope that makes sense..

Thanks, I will look into this.

If anyone else has any thoughts on putting a spacer under the tank/seat latch to raise up the whole mechanism I am all ears...

I have raised the front of my seat by spacing the latch 1/4" from the seat pan and adding 1/4" to the front seat supports on the black plastic bit. I have just done 500 miles on it up to now but it seems to work well with no sliding forward.

very quick very easy way would be to swap the stock(long) rear bumper seat pan pads with the shorties, that worked for me.....

I didn't follow that one. I'm old but I'm slow. :)

I think he was talking about using the Road Star bumpers in place of the Tenere's. That works well but raising the front also, is even better.
I used one washer and two felt pads on the front and four Roady bumpers, I think. I have a custom seat now..
