Still a noob but have sorted out my new S-ten pretty well the past month of ownership I think the seat is comfortable except the angle of it. Seeing there are some mods for that but searches are not yielding results. Have a tough time searching on this forum. Any help on what the mods are for leveling the seat Is much appreciated. Heading to Overland Expo next week and would love to do the ride with a more level seat.

A simple adjustment is to space the latch pin. I use two lock washers between the seat ans latch pin to raise the nose of the seat. Makes locking the seat a bit more difficult but is does work.

I cut down the rubber seat bumpers as detailed in the thread. Mucho improvement, off to LAAM on Thursday for a ride-in appointment!

Thanks a ton Barking Lizard! Seems too easy and cheap. Was thinking I would add more spacers to the front somehow but removing the back bumpers should do the same thing. Not sure why I could not find this when I searched???

One mod I have been looking for is a one piece seat. I have a 36" inseam and when I sat over a s10 the other day the stock seat still felt a little cramped on my knees. On long rides on my former bikes I would slide back to about halfway to the pillion seat so I think for me a raised one piece seat would work better. Sadly the only local custom seat builder I know and I don't get along well.

Also did this seat mod yesterday and this really took some of the weight off my hands. I would say folks should try this mod first before messing with your handlebars.
