Several people have asked me for more information about this modification. I should say that I am not an engineer and don’t have the access to make something professional out if this. I call it a prototype because it is my first shot at it, but while it works, I won’t tidy it up. Perhaps one of the more connected on the forum can improve on this.

1 First the result. The front of the seat is elevated by 20 mm and the latch secures in the high position at the front, while the tab at the back of the seat fits into the lover position

2 Here is the ‘device’ shown in position without the plastic sub mount. The 90° alu angle is there to locate the seat post. This prevents the seat from sliding from side to side and front to back.

3 This is the underside of the ‘device’. The 2 x 90° alu angle pieces prevent the device form moving side to side. Note that they follow the angle of the seat sub frame.
Also note that I have used felt tape to protect my S10 – Bless! I reckon on replacing this with heavy duty felt pads. (one rainy day).

5 Here it is again close up, it is solid and does not replace the bumpers on the underside of the seat. These seem to contribute to the behaviour of the seat, not so much as absorbers, but as far as I can see, as locators. Change or remove them and the seat slides side to side at the back. Remove the rear ones and the seat rocks (as in horse, not roll) when you sit on it.

BTW, if you do remove a bumper, they are buggers to get back in again. BUT, I found a real easy way to get them back in.

That’s it! I haven’t dimensioned it, because I did it by eye and marked it with a pencil against the bike parts.

I am sure it can be improved upon and judging by all the comments about the tilted forward seat, I think this could be the basis for a moulded part.

Very Nice. Thanks for sharing the info and the detailed pics. What size wood did you start with?
