Well I like others that have the Sargent seat have found it an improvement but less than perfect. Many have said they think the foam is too firm and there may be something to that. But I believe the main problem is the shape. It is just too flat, at least to fit my big round butt! :))
Well I came up with a “fix” for my seat. At least an improvement for me. I see Sargent has changed to a softer foam and some have sent their seats back for a free replacement. I still feel the main issue is shape and that the seat is too flat side to side. It seems like all my weight is on the bones near the center and there is no involvement with the outer parts or sides of my rear. I experimented by placing the edge of my hands under each side of my butt to give it a little support there (throttle locked - Look Ma, no hands! ;D) and it made a big difference in the way it felt. So I made some inserts out of 3/8” rubber matting with tapered edges as shown in this picture and slipped them under the seat cover.

I just removed the cover staples from the rear section from near the back rubber supports rearward just enough to allow me to slip them inside. This second picture is with them installed.

This creates a pocket with support for the sides of my butt. It makes a huge difference. I haven’t gone on more than a 40 minute each way ride yet but for that interval it feels much better.
Note that the rubber I used is harder than the foam but still improved the feel because my weight is spread over more surface area.
I am not knocking Sargent seats as I like them and have three of them, but each has needed a little tweak to make it just right for me, and all three required different mods.
We are all build a little different so take this for what it is worth, but it might help if you are finding that there seems to be too much pressure on your butt bones.
As always YMMV, or in this case, YBMV! ::)
