Although there is some discussion on this forum, i couldn't find an answer to this.
Does the Sargent seat bring your feet closer to the ground? On there web site it says that it does by 1/3 inch, but the seat might be wider.
I like the Sargent seats, but i also want to be able to go lower. i know about the Yamaha lower seat, but I don't think it's as comfortable as the Sargent. Also you can easily slide on Sargent and you can't on OEM.

Thanks,

I have a Sargent seat, and I don't think it brings my feet closer to the ground. It anything, the shape of the seat makes it a bit harder to get my feet on the ground, and I'm 6'3". This is exactly what I was looking for, but in some off pavement situations, the narrower stocks seat did make it easier to paddle the bike. I have the Sargent in the high position, and I had the OEM seat in the high position as well. It's possible that the Sargent gets your butt closer to the ground. I'm not sure about that.

Best,

The sargent seats that I purchased did slighly lower the seat height even though the riders seat was slightly wider than the OEM seat, however I found the material of the riders seat too slippery for my liking, my partner Gill said the pillion seat was also more comfy than standard but also slippery.

I sold the seats ::007::

Another factor is how firm the seat is. The Sargent seat is pretty firm and you won't "sink in" as much as the stock seat.

nope. Just like a corbin, it's lower in the center than OEM, but higher on the sides, hence bringing your thighs up, and legs further away from terra firma
