Hello all,

I'm looking for feedback from 2nd generation Sargent seat owners as well as Corbin seat owners please. What do you like about it? What do you dislike about it? Would you buy the same seat again?...if not, why? What duration in miles do you stretch it out to....200 mile day, 400 mile day, 600-1000 mile day?

I know that seats are fairly personal and your preference may not necessarily be mine but I'd really like to gain some feedback. Thanks!

I had both over the years but if it was money contact Seth Lamm at Lamm seating. He did my seat for $220 and it is great. He keeps seat pans in stock so order your seat and he ships it ready to go. Send your seat back in the same box.
He did my seat in March of this year and it completely changed the the bike.

I had a Sargent Gen II. I think it's made with taller riders in mind because the pocket sits you back pretty far from the bars. At 5'7" it didn't work for me. I have a Laam currently. Better than the Sargent but still sits me further back than I like. I might switch to the Rox 2" risers (now 1" up/1" back) and see if that works better. Or try a Russell Sport seat

Can you please post a picture of the Lamm seat,

I have the Corbin heated seat, bought it for the heat.
I have sent it back twice to get it adjusted for the forward tilt, to no avail. They just won't listen and do what they think I want :-(
as far as comfort goes, it's nice, firm, I like it. I just wish they could have adjusted it properly so the slope would go back instead of forward.
The heat is great on these cold winter mornings...

Hmmmm

I have the Corbin heated and like it. The forward cant IMOP is not noticeable as it is on OE. They take a little breaking in, this is my 3rd Corbin and I am happy. Love the heat.

Maybe they just work for a large azz and short inseam?

I had a Sargent on my 2008 FJR1300, THE worst seat ever. I tried the Yamaha Gel seat too and it was almost as bad. The stock FJR seat turned out to the the best of a bad lot!

I had a Corbin on my CB650SC, it was OK but it NEVER softened up as "they" said it would but the shape was better than the Sargent.

I think the seat on the S10 is great but thats just me.

I concur with dragonfly. I am currently riding in the Blue ridge mtns. and Smokey mtns. doing 350 to 400 miles aday with no discomfort at all. I previuoslyhad tried airhawks, Seat Concepts etc.... andI mayaswell have thrown that money out the window. The RDL is the best mod I have done. Don't be put off by the ordering process. They are very professional and prompt with their service. The seat really is as good as you here about. You will likely spend as much or more on off the shelf one size fits all seats andadd on solutions than what a custom made for you RDLwill cost. Get a RDL and never worry about comfort again.

My experience has been all positive with my RDL. YMMV

Which Touratech version did you get, standard or breathable? Would love to see a pic on the bike if you have one. ::008::

I'm almost home from 5k mile road trip with a couple of 800 plus mile days. I have a seat concepts seat. I'm 6' 02" and for me it is a big improvement over stock but, falls short of a true long distance seat. Unlike a Russell, the seat concepts seat lets you sift weight from side to side. That is handy for twisty roads.

I like the Corbin on mine after a little tweaking, getting the angle just right as done on many threads here. I have had a fair number of Corbin's on several different bikes over the years and been quite happy with all of them as far as the actual sitting part goes, the firmness/shape of them just works for me. Always fiddly and took some work getting them to latch and release easily. Always shipped quickly, even with weird colors/fabric textures and they came exactly as ordered and were decently made. Completely non-existent after sales service/support, so don't even try, it will just be an exercise in frustration unless you can get to one of their physical locations

Had the Corbin....sold it. Got a Sargent, will sell it once I Gert my Russell....probably should have done the lamb....doesn't matter: neither stock, Corbin nor Sargent worked for me (meaning comfort in a 10 hr day).
