Well they've now started spreading salt on the roads. :( So the Firestorm is now in full sacrificial mode and coated for combat. I've ridden it into London three times now and it's beating the sh*t outta me. It's like doin' a few rounds with Mike Tyson .... the bike is strong and very stiff. It gave me big ol' yella bruise on the forearm just from ridin' it ... must've ruptured some blood vessels. Upside .... this thing rips the traffic apart ... perfect for lane splittin'. The bike is narrow being a V twin. Sweetly balanced and poised. Given the second hand status of the machine allows me to ride it in a very different way. It has a few knocks and blemishes (not that you'd notice mind) so nothing really matters .... clip a door mirror ... hey shoulda gotten outta me way ;D ;D

It's sleeting here as I type this...I guess that's the official end for me.

I should really get a beater bike for the winter. The quads are fun but limited to off-road.

Hey Venture,

They make conversion kits for dirt bikes to make them into a snow bike......maybe pick up an old dual sport and add the sled kit! ;)

Monday this week we got 7-9 inches of snow in Seattle. THis isn't normal at all here and things come to a stop very quickly for most people. The snow came one day after my wife and I moved to a new house. Good timing on our part.

85 yesterday 45 today but still riding.
Yeah, tell me about it. Those temperature changes during the winter in Texas usually make sure that a lot of folks come down with a cold. But, the autumn, winter and spring are the riding season down there!
