Going to bump this thread as I sometimes have cruise control not want to set on my 2015 ES that has not has this recall done.

Is it JUST the switch on the bottom of the master cylinder, or is it a wiring harness as well?
I think it's the whole wiring harness. I don't know for sure, 'cuz I just dropped the bike off and picked it up later.

Yeah, I realized when i looked at the switch itself that the leads go into the switch itself. sigh... the last thing i want is a dealer having to dig down in the bike.
The recall is just for the switch. There is however an integral lead included that plugs into the main harness. I don’t think I’d refer to this lead as a “harness” though.

Talk to the dealer and ask if they’ll just let you have the switch and do it yourself. I’ve done that on both my S10’s with no problem

That would be amazing. They can charge the shop time to Yamaha without doing the work and I don't have some rando messing with my bike.

I'll pop in to mine and discuss with them at some point over the next few months.

Anyone have the wiring diagram or a pic of the lead/harness?

Trying to see what I'm getting into or not. Would hate to have another man touch my bike >:/

I'll take a look myself and take some pics when I think of it.

Have the lever almost maxed out (big feet). Moved the plastic nut a bunch on the sensor. Might max it out if my cruise light starts blinking at me again. Seems to come and go. Anyone experience the same?

Working through it. Nbd.

There's probably not a lot of dealers that will give you the part and let you make the fix. The whole liability thing. If you have a good long-term relationship with your dealer, they might be more apt to do so. Because if they do the work, and it still has issues, they'll have to fix it. If you do and the problem remains, they'll be much less likely to help.
