I have been told the 2014 and newer S10 header system is far better than the 2011 to 2013 S10 bikes. Can anyone confirm and what were the changes? Thanks

Gen1 and Gen2 headers are the same…same curves, same diameter, same length, same muffler, just change the catalyst. in gen1 it is flattened and in gen2 it is more cylindrical

As Rob (bimota) has said, Gen 2 header pipes do not have a balance pipe. Yamaha said there were gains in torque and power, If there was, I doubt you would notice anyway.

It seems to me that a balance tube "before" the oxygen sensors would be a nonsense. For me it must have only been a physical union between the tubes, without gas compensation

Thanks to all that replied. I was thinking of upgrading to Gen 2 header if there were any significant difference. My last bike had an Arrow header and pipe but was too loud. My new bike just has the Arrow pipe. Both bikes have been reflashed.
