I will start the nominations with Nick “fastest man around the world” Sanders.

Among other accomplishments, he’s ridden around the world 9 times on motorcycles and bicycles (!!). That alone is worth looking into.

Of partcular interest to us is that he rode from Prudhoe Bay, Alaska to Ushuaia, Argentina in 49 days on an S 10. Sound impossible? It practically is.

But wait. He went Prudhoe to Ushuaia AND BACK in 49 days!

Looking forward to your nominations.

I vote Paul as well. That Nick may be ok, but I've never seen him post here. 49 days? :D Google Dick Fish.

Great idea for a thread!

Long Way Round/Down got me back into motorcycling again.

Nick Sanders is the reason I bought a Super Tenere.

Nick Sanders gets my vote. He completed the one way trip in near identical time to Dick Fish. The big difference he turned around and came right back. That's like running back to back marathons.

Paul posts here but unfortunately he is done with Tenere's after 300k miles. Now he will be riding the new Venture.

I have been following LHP for some time. He is an impressive individual for sure. Not only does he cover an amazing quantity of miles and advocate for a very worthy cause, his riding style is most commendable. The gentle manor in which he passes slow moving cars, RV's and Harleys is beyond my capacity for restraint. Well done sir.

+1 for Nick Sanders.

Last time I saw him, at his Birmingham show stand, he looked like he had stuck his face in a sandblaster. Incredible record, not just the S10 which was in excellent order when they stripped the motor, but around the World on an R1. Hats off to the guy.
