Hi all I have started getting a rumble through the foot pegs when I corner! In a straight line no problem, the bike has done 12,000 miles seems low to have rear bearing failure!

Anyone else have problems with the rear wheel bearings?

I think they all do that Sir.

No .............. as verboten1 suggests, it's probably just worn tyres. OK, check out the wheel bearings for good measure - it's simple enough. Otherwise, just get the bike on it's stand, weight up the rear, to get the front wheel off the ground, then run your hand around the tread - I suspect you will find some uneven wear starting to show, which makes the tyre 'sing' a little when cornering. Then, back on the ground, just to make sure the damping is effective give the bike a good bounce at the front & check that it settles immediately. Undamped travel, say due to a leaky fork seal, can cup front tyres pretty quickly.

Once checked, personally, I wouldn't worry too much, unless it is making the handling unpredictable.

I used to get that when running the Mitas E07 Dakar's but no since I put on the Michelin PR4's.

It's your tires. Now that I have 10,000 miles on my Tourance EXPs, when leaned over off the flat it makes a rumble noise. Time for some
new shoes.

My Mitas Dakar e-07's make more of a hum than a rumble when leaned over in the corner. Figured it was a sign of appreciation ;) Used to get a different sound from the short time I had the K60's.
