Hello All! Thought I would contribute a little with some of the mods I installed on my 16' Tenere ES recently.

I have the larger yamaha windshield on my bike and while I find it to be quite excellent in the high position, I notice that I have the slightest bit of buffeting hitting my eyes which gives me "shakey" vision when I am wearing glasses or with my visor open. To rectify this issue I thought I'd give one of those windshield extenders a try, so I made my way to the ADVMOTORAD website and purchased a Rugged Roads Extender.

first impression is that the mounting piece is a solid, good looking piece of metal. Nicely made and pretty darn sturdy. It comes with some rubber mounting parts so that it wont scratch your screen. Once installed and adjusted, I was extremely pleased to see that I can easily adjust it while riding to find what I am comfortable with. I can now say that that extra bit of buffeting is completely gone and I can ride with my visor open and not have any wind blowing into my face! Fantastic. Very happy with it.

My 1 and only complaint that may not be a big deal to most but it isn't a deal breaker is that the metal mounting part has a slight bit of weight to it, exaggarating the movement of the shield when you go over bumps and stuff. The other issue is that its a dark chunk of metal right in your line of sight. I figure you just look ahead and will eventually just forget or not even notice it after a few days of riding.

Overall I really like it, would recommend it. Plus, it looks pretty cool. ::26:: 8)

I'm afraid the reason for that, is that I got the last one! Sorry about that... But if its available again I would recommend it. I've been riding everywhere even on the highway with out using my visor, no wind in my face at all but still plenty of cool air around me! its great.

Ah...well I guess that makes sense. The search continues.
