Bored today since we cancelled the ride late yesterday when the forecast called for rain off and on all day in Colorado… Well typical Colorado weather no rain…

Headed down to the local shop and while looking to build my tool kit, I found a set of Super Tenere appropriate Rox Rixers, 2" high. Thought I'd try them. I've watched the altrider installation video and picked up the other small parts at the local Autozone.

Installation was very straightforward. No issues. I had doubts about the "workaround" that altrider used for getting around the stock lines on 2" taller bars. After getting it all installed did their 4 T check out and took it for a ride. I liked them. Because I'm shorter, my arms didn't have much of a bend when riding. This put me in a more relaxed riding position. Standing on the pegs and operating the controls was much easier. I found no negatives with the Rox Risers..

When I got back I took my time to really inspect the "workaround". I don' t like it, meaning I think it'll work fine, but not for me. I read the other thread about the variances between each motorcycle could make a difference if its tight or loose..

I think the workaround is a viable solution if you do have some room..

Anyways, I went ahead and ordered a set of the longer lines from rideonadv.

Received the lines from Jaxon today! Nicely built units. Took me a couple hours to install from start to finish. That was taking my time and bleeding the clutch and brakes, from pulling out the first tools, till the last one was put away. It wasn't very difficult at all. If anyone is thinking of doing this you should it puts play back in your lines. For me thats peace of mind!

With the limited space it took a bit of finagling, to be able to turn the wrenches but not too crazy

Definitely get the 10mm flare nut wrench. I don't know if it made it easier or not, BUT I know I did not bugger up the 10mm nuts!!!

::008:: I can confirm the ROX bar risers are well made and look good too! The position of the bars in the risers feel better. I got the up and back style from another forum member here. i also agree with the peace of mind I'll be getting when I install the long lines from RideOnADV. Right now there is enough play to ride while Im waiting on the lines.

I have had mine for several thousand miles now and for me it makes all the difference in the world. I did install the longer cables for the get-go picture attached

Got a chance yesterday to check them out on some "moderate" off-road trails. Lots of bumps and rocks. These things make a huge difference for me in the bumpy stuff. They really helped float over the bumps by giving my body more room to move up and down in dependent of the motorcycle. It was so much easier to let the bike do what it needed with out getting thrown around.

On-road, they did give me a more relaxed position. Wasn't a massive difference. What I did notice is the sitting up a little more upright did reduce the buffeting on my helmet some.

Gotta say this is a very worthwhile mod if you do a lot of off-road in "attack" position… Usually I'm sore the next day after a ride like that… not so this time...

With Bushyar15's help last weekend, we installed the longer lines & Rox risers on my bike. Not much time with them on, but seems to be far enough back to relax my arms a bit more. Next weekends ride will be the test. I will report back then.
