Attempting to follow the Altrider install video but the aluminum block on my brake line turns the line 90 degrees rather than the "straight-thru" block depicted in the video - am I missing something here or did they change the installation. I got my Tenere in April 2012.

Hey Harpmr,

Can you PM me or send a pic so I can see what you have going on? I would like to help anyway I can.

I did mine a couple of weeks ago. All I did was install the risers. No additional work to the lines att all. I can turn lock to lock with no undo strain on the lines, even when I tilt the riser back. I guess this just confirms that there are manufacturing variances in the length of the lines.
I guess I'm just fortunate enough to have a bike with a little slack.

Its good to know that there are variances in line lengths. I just received the 2" ROX risers and tried the install on my 2013 Tenere. There is no way on God's green earth I can do this with the stock lines. Called Jaxon and should receive long lines anytime.

Does anyone know exactly how much longer than stock the long lines are from Jaxon?

Thanks

I installed 1 3/4'' Rox Risers on my ST 2015 ZE(ES) using the Altrider adaptor kit.

Also moved a litle bit the clutch lever to right and the break lever to right in the bar and do not have problems with the cables...

However I have the feeling the bike is now not so safe to manage, essentially in slow speeds...or to deviate from inesperated obstacles...
Strange unsafe feeling... or perhaps needs habituation...

I got my China-Rox 2" risers from EBay. Stock lines were too short and I had to modify a few things.

From memory:

1. Removed stock hand guards (removed because they hang too low and may scrape side view mirrors). Moved in the clutch n brake levers to inner. This serves well in that now I can use the levers at its longest length which makes it less effort. I ended using a after market hand guard.
2. Loosen the hose lines clip near to under the steering area. It hangs loose now.
3. Adjusted the wire frame that keeps the clutch lines in place near the key slot.

I cannot go full 2" without risking putting too much tension on the lines at full turns.
