Rigid Industries 3 wire switch to a 2 wire switch?

I want to use a regular on off switch attached to my handlebars for my rigid lights.. the switch that came with it has 3 wires (black, blue, red)... i keep blowing fuses.. any guidance?

Do you have a voltmeter?

My guess is that this is a lighted switch?

If so, my guess would be that 'Red' is your hot lead, 'Blue' is the switched output of the switch (connects to the 'red' lead when the switch is 'on'). 'Black' is the ground for the light in the switch.

Yeah, I have ... sorry, had ... Rigid aux lights on my bike. The third connector on the switch it to light the switch when it's on. A nice feature. i don't remember how it hooks up but that's what the third connector is for. R
