My prayers go out to Tex and his family. It's always hard to hear about this kind of thing. I hope you get some good news soon.

You know, the funny thing is (if there is a funny side), is that his injury's from hitting the deer were not that substantial. What I'm hearing is that he bled to death as a result of the Predaxa that he was taking - apparently there is no reversing agent for this blood thinning drug and the doctors could not control the bleeding. What a waste.

Please research the medication you're taking before you find out there's no way to reverse it's affects.

I am going to his viewing tonight and burial tomorrow to pay final respects.

"This prescription medication works to prevent blood clots and strokes by stopping a certain protein in the body from forming blood clots. Some of the common side effects seen with this drug include potentially serious bleeding problems. "

Unfortunately bleeding problems are more actual than potential this time. Just another reason to try to stay healthy and avoid pharmaceuticals.

RIP Tex.
