The first year I had mine, I put on about 7k miles; and I didn't "go" anywhere. It was my transportation of choice. It took me 3,500 miles just to learn how to NOT burn up the rear tire while braking and downshifting. The Tenere is the "tortoise", and everybody else are the "hares". Competent and capable, not flashy or gimmicky. That's MY opinion of the Tenere.
Whilst I agree with your points, the hare can also be the tortoise and some of the other bikes in this market whilst being flashy and gimmicky, are also competent and capable.

Until they break....at the most inopportune time. Although I have no personal knowledge on the Ducati's reliability, I do on the other two.

I do have experience with Ducatis, and they were worse than any BMW, mine were constantly broken. Got so sick of fixing them, sold all 3 of them and went back to Yamaha. For me the Tenere is the only one of these I would ever consider.

Motorcycle tests done by different magazines have little or no bearing in the real world. These tests are based on advertising revenue of a particular motorcycle manufacturer to the magazine and the perks and kickbacks to the "Tester" Pure waste of money buying this type of rubbish (magazines)' Much more valuable information can be collected free by stalking (lol) the various motorcycle owner forums.

Like I said "if I was rich". I might just have to get 2 and maybe have on running. Most of the time. I know a rich guy that has 2 vettes so he'll have one of them most of the time.
