Pretty sure it's the Happy Trails plate under another name.
Looks like it uses the same mounts as the Yamaha aluminum plate, which mounts to the bottom of the sump. Not ideal for hard offroading but probably fine for dirt roads etc.

I would prefer something that doesn't use those stock bottom mounts. Hit something solid and good chance you are breaking the one item you were hoping protect.

When I purchased my bike used it had the Yamaha aluminum plate. I am fine with it for now, but am on the lookout for something better.
I think the GIVi/Kappa, Becker which don't use these bottom mounts are slightly better than that unit.

Lots of options out there for sure. Depends how much you want to spend.

It's rubber mounted, using the existing mounts on the oil pan, not a good setup.
If you really want this type of skid plate, I will sell you mine for $10 and the price of shipping ;)
I bought one of those for my first skid plate, and it failed miserably on Ophir pass. Hard hit, rubber mounts sheared, and the front of the skid plate dropped turning it into a scoop, and bringing me to a dead stop. Made for a few laughs, I rigged it good enough to get me home, and then bought a real skid plate.
If you are NOT going to do ANY serious offroad riding, then this may be a good choice for you.

Thanks for the feedback. I'd forgotten that the stock one mounted directly to the sump. I'm going to be picking up a very low mileage 2014 ES this week to use mainly as a solo touring bike.
