Lola...I actually meant my comment as an explanation for my own behavior! ;) Talk about whatever you like in my threads. Happy to share. :)

I'm the guiltiest. Thanks for the acquittal.

As always, a stellar review.

They look like good panniers, too bad HT doesn't make more of an effort to fit the right side closer to the bike and not have the cutout. Guess when 49 out of 50 states can't lane-split it doesn't matter for most sales. But the rest of us don't want meter-wide panniers.

True. But the cases aren't on my bike most of the time. So the empty rack looks balanced. And you can mount all kinds of neat things in the equivalent space (that the exhaust takes up) on the right side.
And, when the cases ARE hung and loaded, they still have that balanced look. To me anyways.
Regardless, the bars are still wider than the cases.

If the balanced look mattered none of us would be married.... ;)

And specs show the bags to be an inch wider than the bars... ::024::

Course it doesn't matter if you live where you can't lane-split, unless you boys get sneaky when the cops ain't looking.... :)

We, (me anyways) disguise my lane splitting as lane changing. Requires a minor gap between cars and will still draw frowns from many. I try to be smooth, deliberate, and visible to those I'm "splitting"
