Late last fall I purchased a used 2008 FJR1300. I had a new 2005 FJR for four years & really regretted selling it. At the time, I had some financial issues to deal through (read expensive divorce) & selling my seven bikes at the time was a quick way to generate some cash.

Since I bought the FJR last fall most of my energy has gone into customizing the FJR for our personal comforts & desires. I was tickled to have an FJR again & that resulted in my 2012 S-10 being hardly ridden.

Today however, I had an open house to attend at one of our retail outlets 50 miles from my home. The weather had finally quit raining, the temps were forecast to be in the low 70's so I figured I'd leave my company Explorer at home & ride a bike. I felt guilty about my neglected S-10 so I aired up the tires & off we went.

The ride was spectacular. I had forgotten how much I missed the upright riding position & predictability of the S-10. The S-10 felt so agile & maneuverable. I was enamoured with the S-10 all over again. At the open house a couple of customers whom are motorcycle enthusiasts checked the bike over & one asked me to start the engine so he could here it. When I fired it up he said it sounded very commanding. Since I'm in the John Deere business and deal with farmers no comments were made about it sounding like a John Deere!

I'm glad the S-10 is still in my stable & look forward to many years of riding it.

Cheers. ::003::
