I finally busted through the snow bank to get in to my shop to install the remus slip-on. I got the stock exhaust of easy, but noticed that there is some kind of gasket (see pic no.1) still on the stock header. The diameter of the remus piece (see pic no.2) that fits between the remus exhaust and header is too small to slide over the gasket (see picture no.3), so it seems i have to remove the gasket. My question is do i just slide the new peace over the header without the gasket and tighten the bracket, or do i have to put on another thinner gasket and then slide the new piece over the header. It would have to be a pretty thin gasket if that is the case.

I wasnt sure either, but I ended up taking of the stock gasket and bolting up. I went for a ride and sure enough it had worked itself loose, I gave it a few more turns and all is ok for now. Ile keep an eye on it and like you said, if a new gasket is needed it would be very thin indeed.

Yep, the LeoVince is exactly the same. Just pull that little gasket, slide your new pipe on and tighten her down. Go ride around for awhile, recheck the tightness and enjoy.
