Now that we are all actually getting our bikes, would it be possible, or is it difficult, to possibly add a new section devoted to different regions for users in those regions to post up rides and events?

We have similar sections on some other boards I use and it is really handy to quickly skim my region looking for events, rides, etc.

Would be nice to have and even possibly individual sub-groups within each region for each state.

What say Chris?

Tell me what regions you want and it's done. No problem whatsoever. I'll even do it tonight since creating boards is pretty easy.

All done.

If anybody wants any regions of other countries called out feel free to throw them out and I'll add them. I know we have some folks from South Africa and Singapore and other places, just not sure how to segment.

Do you think that the traffic/volume is there to justify that level of granularity? I'm not so sure.

Not initallly, but eventually I think it will be handy and an easier venue for "locals" to chit-chat about day rides and such.

Eventually it will.

One thing for those using those sections - be considerate and put your State/Province in the thread title if it applies. This serves the purpose of focusing on a specific area which makes the lives of those reading much easier. Also, later on when Chris adds sub-sections for those states/provinces/etc, he can do a search by title and a mass move and makes his life easier.

My opinion for what's it worth is to keep it at a higher regional level, that way if someone in a neighboring state wants to join a ride they'll be able to see it easier than having to drill down into individual states. Also a good way for other regional members to communicate to larger group if they're travelling through someone elses region. 8)
