Gonna have to go stock I'm thinking. Somewhere north of 350 bucks last I heard. Finding a good one in a salvage yard is still way too much to expect. Still pricey, somebody here laced up their own hoop. Don't remember if it was on a stock hub or one of those fancy custom jobs. I know the 21" front was a custom hub, just don't remember the rear.

I can do $350 for the spare wheel. Hopefully someone will know where I can get one close to that price.

Just a quick down and dirty. Looks like the rear hub is about 225. New rim is 299. Plus spokes, 70. Plus bearings, 50. Or having Woody's Wheel Works lace on a new rim of your choice instead is another "X" hundred. 700 there-a-bouts. Yikes! Don't know how practical that's going to be Alan. Several years down the road, sure. Model year 2 = Ouch!

$700 might not be too practical, but at least it is an option. Thanks for the breakdown.

I'm with Alan. I'd like to have a spare set of wheels, to mount street tires on so I can switch back and forth depending on the type of riding I'd like to do that day...
