I've been looking for the Alt Rider rear rack system and have not been able to find it anywhere. Everyone shows out of stock. Then i found out Alt Rider have discontinued them and are no longer manufacturing. I really liked the look and functionality of these. What alternatives are people using ?

I was in the same situation as you. I bought an Amazon special made by Xitomer for mine. It works well, but has sagged a bit since I was also not shy about overloading it a couple times (like nearly100lbs on the thing) so results may vary.

Looks identical to this. Seems the price has gone up significantly.

Platform dimension: About 14" from seat to aft end, 14" wide at seat, 11" wide at rear. Overall width add a bit extra for tie-up flanges that angle down at -45 degrees.

Underneath compartment is about 6" long from seat rearward, 7" wide @ bottom, 9" @ top, 2-1/2"high

A pillion rack wasn't available with/for mine. There was a fellow on here that made pillion racks from scratch. Hopefully he'll chime in.

I designed the lower mount & a friend had his business fab it out of steel. The top plate is a Givi M3...but lots of others would fit too. Case is a Pelican 1100 I think. Apache case is lower cost thru Harbor Frt.b494b7686a61e2344a8a119a744b4281.jpg20220916_102809.jpgtapatalk_509490615_408x229 (1).jpegtapatalk_681243631_408x229 (1).jpegtapatalk_-1106235941_408x229 (1).jpeg

I no longer have my Teneres though & didnt keep the measurements

Happy Trails makes a very solid base and riser, leaving room for tools. (I fabbed a locking door)WIN_20241024_07_36_54_Pro.jpg

I added hardware to mount the Givi Mono lock, but typically use a drybag instead (less susceptible to shaking in rougher terrain).

Unfortunately, like most of their Super Tenere hard goods this shows as "Out of Stock" on the HT website.

If you aren't in a hurry I would try the "Notify me when available" option. They may batch build. They are US based and indicate "build to order".

Their products are not cheap, but are not likely to break. AltRider rear racks have been known to crack.

No problem. I'm not in the market, I have the Altrider rack on my 2013 and it is still quite solid.

Yeah, I had the same problem when I was trying to find an Alt Rider rack—it’s frustrating when something you really want gets discontinued. I ended up going with the Perun Moto rear rack, and honestly, it’s been great. It’s tough, lightweight, and works with all the luggage setups I’ve tried so far. Plus, the design is clean, so it still looks good on the bike. Definitely worth a look if you’re stuck finding an alternative.
