I replaced my rear drive oil seal, and was curious how much "play" is normal where the drive shaft connects to the pumpkin. Mine seems to wobble a fair amount. Fairly new to working on bikes, thank you!

I would think you must have replaced the input seal if you removed the rear end.
The drive shaft is kind of held into the coupler by the seal. That seal is a very special seal that can let the shaft move "slide" in and out a small amount in the coupler when the wheel goes up and down without pulling the seal out of the coupler. The splines on the rear end of the shaft are lubricated by the rear end oil, you do not grease the splines on the rear end of the shaft.
To answer your question the shaft will wobble quite a bit with the rear end off the bike. I am not sure what you mean by "PLAY"

Thank you eemsreno! Very helpful. I bolted everything back and the bike runs great and no more leaking oil.
