With a 3.99$ can of chrome aluminum Krylon spray paint, a1.49 roll of masking tape and some time.........

Wow, that looks nice. Did you have to sand the surface first? What about primer? Looks nice.

No surface prep at all, other than cleaning and drying the panels from some rain splatter when the bike came home the first time in the rain from the dealer.
