Pyramid Infill Question

Ok, I posted this several days ago in the Vendor section and got no response so I'm posting it here now.

I bought the carbon fiber look Pyramid infill panel. It's excellent quality and looks great but now I'm wondering if the white panel would have looked better with my white bike. I put the tech spec pads on the tank and think I need a little more 'color' on the bike. Is the white color offer from Pyramid a direct match of the Yamaha white of my bike?

Anyone with a '13 white have this panel installed with a picture available?

Dunno, if you decide you want the white one I may be interested in the one you take off.

There is a good chance it won't be a direct match to the factory white - that white paint is, I hear, very pricey. But worst case, you could simply have a local shop spray it for you for a perfect match.

Yeah, I asked the vendor on the vendor forum but haven't heard back. I really like the way the carbon one looks I just think the bike needs a little more white now that I added the TechSpec tank protection.

Hi Bart - sorry for the delay! I posted some quick thoughts in the vendor thead at http://www.yamahasupertenere.com/index.php?topic=9518.msg176542#msg176542. Net-net, Sportsguy is right...it will probably be very close, but if you have a good eye for color (my wife says I'm half color-blind ), it may not be a 100% match unless you have it painted. The only parts that Pyramid has painted to match are the Viper Blue infill panels and huggers.

Here's a picture of the white bike with the white infill panel to give you a rough idea of what it looks like.

I really like the look of the white side panel. Looks factory. I'm looking into getting my exhaust heat shield cut down pretty small and having it painted white. If I do that I'll just paint the carbon unit I have. If I don't do it then I may do the switch out.
