Hi guys, I'm looking for advice on Puig clip-on visors. I have a Puig touring screen on my '14 S10 and would like to add a clip-on visor but I'm undecided on the width. There are 3 options, 230 mm, 250 mm, and 315 mm.

What are the advantages of a narrow visor? Do they offer the 3 widths only for aesthetic reasons? If so, what does the wide one looks like on the Puig touring windscreen?

If any of you has a combination of both the Puig touring windscreen and any of their visors on their S10, please chime in, and if you could post pictures, that would be much appreciated as I couldn't find any on the internet.

Thanks!

I tried a ton of different shields on a Madstat mount including a Puig touring . I spent a ton of money trying to get the sweet spot where I had ZERO buffering at highway speeds (70-90mph).

I ended up with the Madstat mount, the stock shield, the winglets and a MRA spoiler. The MRA didn't have choices in different sizes so I don't know how many mm it is. I like it because it is infinitely adjustable. It also clips on so no drilling a high dollar shield.

Over several months of trial and error I learned a lot. The 3 biggest factors to reduce bubble head for me are the winglets, spoiler and helmet. I have 8 helmets, 5 different brands. With my configuration only the Shoei helmets have ZERO bobble. My AGV is unusable as it vibrates to the point it it dizzying, my Sumoy plan sucks to the point that neck pain stops my rides and the HJC bobbles like a Doger Bobble head doll.

If you are trying to get rid of bobble head I would start with winglets. Is that's not enough add a spolier. My main problem with the Puig Touring screen was the height. I was looking through my glasses, my deep down tinted visor, the face shield and then the bikes screen. Too much.

In probably assuming too much regarding the bobble head, maybe you just want a spoiler... haha. I would recommend the built in MRA

Don't even get me started on which angle to use

Not sure what size but I love it. I think I would go with the larger since it will cover side wind better.

Thanks for the input, guys. Well I just ordered a Puig 315mm, clear, for $154 cad on Fortnine. The MRA was available at twisted throttle but was more expensive at $220 cad... I'm 6'2" and I had to put the seat in the lowest position so my helmet could clear the buffeting airstream that is generated by the windshield. As you can see on the pics, my Puig windshield is already quite high (at the highest setting). I'll post updated pictures when I install the spoiler. Can't wait to finally put the seat back in high position so I can stretch my legs a bit 20190122_181804.jpg20190122_181937.jpg

That's an interesting concept, I never thought of that. Although one might assume that it would be the equivalent of a shorter windshield. I also can't seem to figure how the winglets, which are at belly button height, can affect the air turbulence way up there at the top of the helmet o_O

You may be surprised that if you tilt the screen towards you it will help smooth out the air that hits you . The more vertical the screen the more turbulence you create behind the screen in some cases.
I agree. I'm 6,2 it's on the lowest setting now angled towards me. Madstad helps and side support are a must on such a big screen. 20190201_215034.jpg
