Soliciting input on what protective gear to where under my riding suit? I'm wanting to remove the armor in my one-piece suits (mesh Olympia suit for summer and non-mesh Scorpion Passport for winter....I've upgraded the armor in both but not pleased with how the armor moves around on elbows and knees) and replace with an armored shirt or jacket. I've searched threads and seen various options...not sure the shirts are protective enough. I'm thinking along the lines of the Knox Cross Shirt, Leatt 3DF Airfit or Bohn Armor. HV Juggernaut is no longer made, but they have several left over, not sure if my size is available. Don't think I'm interested in the various EVS offerings...they seem too flimsy. I mainly ride street/highway with some dirt roads mixed in. No motocross or endure. Criteria are CE certified (is Bohn?), armor stays in place, ease of entry/exit. I realize that wearing it underneath a jacket/suit will minimize airflow, but any cooling is appreciated.

I have the Knox summer riding jacket which has armour and is abrasion resistant. You can then wear a light weight waterproof if needed. This jacket worked well in 40C heat in Spain & Portugal last year. The Jacket is designed to be close fitting so the armour doesn't move about. However, the sizes are a bit out. I needed the XL when I usually have Large. The jacket I purchased to go with the Summer Jacket was the Knox All Sport Jacket. Again at least one size larger than you usually take. The All Sport Jacket doesn't have armour. It's designed to work with the armoured vests so is abrasion resistant. It's water proof and breathable. I've also worn this combination during a longish ride in November in England and was warm enough with an insulating layer between the Summer Riding Jacket and the All Sport Jacket. The summer riding jacket was produced by Knox as they found riders were riding in the knox vests in the heat and if they came off, the vests offered no abrasion resistance.

There are a number of versions of gear you'll find if you Google motorcycle compression armor. Everything from mesh with a few pads to full suits with really high tech features.
The new Bohn stuff is CE approved.

I have a Helite vest and wear it daily for commuting. It's a great piece for the neck and spine but no substitute for armor at all the bony joints.

I have spent quite a bit of time researching the various compression armor options , and as mentioned in my original post I think I have narrowed it to three or four options Just seeking firsthand input from those who have experience with the stuff Especially interested in the Bohn ( someone mentioned an updated version ?) because there isn't much out there regarding it other than their own promotion

I've got the Bohn pants and seldom wear them unless I know I'll be really pushing on the dirt bike. They feel clingy-sweaty-sticky in the summer, and I prefer the better protection of the Klim gear. Not really thick material either. The cheap compression armor top I have is like an open fish net and is easy-on easy-off with the armor attached in various places.

Dirt Dad and I have good back pads in our jackets (Klim) and I followed his lead in taking the armored back piece out of the Helite vest. I had a pretty hard "off" on a dirt road last year when towing a trailer which had a wheel hang up in a mud hole then sprung loose. Knew it was going to end badly as the trailer tried to pass me. The vest was inflated before I came off the bike and the upper part made a pretty good cervical collar to immobilize my helmet. It's really weird when things come to a stop, your upper body is being squeezed, and you can't move your head.
