Has anyone installed protaper evo high adventure bars ?
Did they fit in the stock clamps ?
Did the hoses/wiring require modification ?
How to remove the left heated grip without damaging it ?

No experience with the protaper bars.

Removing the left heated grip will depend on how stuck on it is. I usually try compressed air first, squirting air under the edge of the grip and seeing if it will come loose. Work around the edges on both sides as best you can. If that works, letting it slightly balloon up will usually allow you to slide it off with the air blowing.

If it's stuck on too much for that, I like to use a long, thin screwdriver. I slide it under the grip and start working it back and forth, side to side, working around the diameter of the grip. The smaller diameter screw driver the better. Here is a pic of the one I use. It has a 7.5" long blade that is 1/8" in diameter. The handle gives me something to hang on to and it's longer than the grips.

Hello,
Yes, Yes, and Yes.....................
I have the Pro-Taper Adventure "High" bars.
They fit the stock clamp perfectly. You will either have to drill holes for the switchgear to lock into, OR grind off the locating pegs so they don't lock into a hole.
You will have to TAP the ends of the Pro-Taper Bar to accommodate the factory bar-ends. (16mm x 1.5 Tap)
You will have to get longer Clutch and Brake hoses..............There is no way around this! All the electrical wiring, and the throttle cables are long enough as-is.
As far as removing the left heated-grip..............I turned on the bike, and turned the grips on high to get them hot. The grip twisted off easily with some firm pulling pressure.

Here is my install-post.

I have these bars and risers, the cluch and break holes can be removed from clamps and rerouted. I'm on a 16 model. They are snug, but I haven't had any problems.
