Eric -- Did you have the bags on your crash bars at dawson? Can you send me a photo of the bags on the bike, if you have such a pic available?
Thanks
Bill

Hi Bill, yes, both my S10 and the wife's GS had Rumbux crash bars with the bags installed for the Alaska trip. I took mine off when stopped for the day, but they were on while riding. A couple of pages back has pictures on and off the bike of some pre-production prototypes. Current ones now have the zipper opening from the front to the rear and are using a heavier fabric, as well as having the logo on them with the last batch. I do have one set w/o logo, from the last order.

Sup-Ten - You asked about the bags, but I haven't heard back from you. I did PM when the last order came in. Please remind me if we had discussed any specifics in the past.

found the photo AND the dimensions, Eric. Thanks. I'll measure my non-Rumbux bars tonight and see if they'll fit. The bars were on the bike when I got it so I'm not certain of the brand.

PM me with the dimensions of your bars. There are three sizes, one each for the S10, KTM and BMW. The BMW bags are the smallest, the KTM probably the largest.

Are there currently any full sets available?
No, I generally don't stock, but order as demand reaches the quantities required for the airport to airport shipping to cost out.

I have that quantity of orders now, and will be placing a new order at the end of the week. If you'd like to get in on that order, deliveries to customers should be at the end of Feb. Give me a call at 435-817-0809.

Eric

Just bumping the thread - I am placing a new order with Rumbux on 1/15/15. Delivery to customers at the end of Feb. Please contact me if you want to get in on this order. PM, email or phone all work. 435-817-0809

Pricing remains the same, $xxx for the 3-Part kit, $xxx for the Add On Bars that replace the oem crash bar's upper hoop and give better side protection. $50/Pair for the 3 piece light brackets that fit the Yamaha H7 aux lights, $xxx for rear protection/soft pannier bars, $xxx for soft panniers, (Cordura or seam bonded PVC), $xx/Pair for Crash bar bags, and a new style of light bracket for lighter/smaller lights at $xx/Pair, (pic below).

Sure glad I jumped quick on that last set when I did. Otherwise I would be waiting another 7-8 weeks to ride dirt on the new bike with full peace of mind.

Right now the business is small. Profits are small too. I'm not willing to go into debt to stock products at this point. Thus the order as demand is there. I do try and order a couple sets on speculation when I place an order. Often these are sold by the time they get to me. But trying to guess demand, color and bike spec is hit or miss.

Last year, I made an order every month, two in some of the summer months, so some orders over lap, with one in progress, one being re-packed an shipped out to customer. I have a "day job" too, so do the best I can. I've yet to take any money out of the business. Three years and ~150 sets of bars so far.

Still free shipping too!

And on behalf of many of those Rumbux shod Tenere's on the road out here, I thank you for your unselfish efforts Eric!

And I assure you, my sump thanks you too. Several times over, in fact.
My Rumbux skid plate was not a fashion statement.

Well thanks, but it's not all that unselfish! I wanted some myself!! :D And it has allowed me to use my S10 as a product demo tool, so at least I can justify some bike costs under business expenses.

For anyone who is considering these, they are a high-quality piece. The install was simple with a second set of hands to hold things in place while getting the holes lined up for the bolts. I was concerned about them being too wide, but they aren't too bad...still narrower than the handlebars, and they look GREAT on the bike in person. Thankfully I haven't tested mine yet, but they seem like they'd take small impacts in stride and distribute the force of a larger impact well. Eric is very easy to buy from, and sent several status updates along the way.

So if you like them, don't hesitate. Money well spent.

soldierguy, I can vouch for them in a harder impact. I got a little crazy following some dirt bikes at an OHV park and launched the big beast off the top of a hill. She landed hard on the radiator side and I about cried. Picked her up and looked her over, fans came on and cooled down radiator...nothing leaking. That was a little of 5000 miles ago. These bars are built to take a hit and keep on going.

Glad you guys are happy with the Rumbux Product. I'm placing another order shortly if anyone wants to get in on that. Delivery should be around the week of March 24th, possibly sooner. Nothing in stock now except some KTM 690 3-Part kits.

Massive understatement!!!

Fancy got Rumbux'ed very early on and since then I have treated her like the WLDB that she is... Bike is still fully intact, but the powder coating on the Rumbux has not fared as well.

The Rumbux gear was/is worth every last penny!!! Cannot imagine going for the bargain stuff to put on a 600+ lb bike this expensive and then take her where I do.

Plus Eric V is ridiculously easy to work with on the order!! You can't go wrong!
