I have not seen this posted before so I thought I would make this my small contribution.

The Powerlet PKT-041-24 Type-1 Rearset Kit with 24" Harness fits directly onto the S Ten with very little fuss. The wires run up under the tank and enter the battery area alongside the other wiring. The only other part needed that's not included with the powerlet kit is the right size bolt from the hardware store. I have mine wired directly to the battery and am using the supplied 15 amp fuse. I have added the male powerlet plug to my mini tire pump and will use this outlet for that purpose, as well as to hook up a battery tender. My cost from Amazon was $67.45 delivered.

Very nice. I have had the Powerlet for a few years. It was a present. What bracket did you use?

Thanks for the link and looks nice. I made an almost identical Powerlet outlet mount beneath the left side of the seat on my first Tenere.
I am a bit confused why they would put this outlet on the right side though. A rider's right hand is usually occupied with the throttle and heated jacket connections are offset to the left.

Checkswrecks. Two points. Firstly, I would not use this while moving down the road. Only for a battery tender or a tire pump. I have other power sources in the cockpit area for use while under way. Secondly, with the way cool electronic cruise control, you can have two free hands!

Sounds good and to each their own design.

I like to have multiple uses and cutting the number of "things"so had the Powerlet on that bike to power the pump, battery tender, and for jacket heaters with a short coax adapter. I kept accidentally pulling the jacket heat plug with the power coming from under my seat. On the current bike the coax jumpers for heat come up in front of each of our seats, plugging into a SAE beneath the seat. Most of the year we don't need the heated jackets so the jumper is stored. The SAE is the connection for the higher amp pump and battery tender, both of which came with SAE connections.
