Called revzilla yesterday to place order PCV and autotune for by Super tenere (south africa import) and tech explained to me that they only sell PCV for US spec bikes. Again I am not sure if bike is so different from country to country that dynojet makes different PC units from them,.,,, my gut feel is that Revzilla is being too conservative (rightfully so) and the PCV should work fine. However Revzilla tech mentioned they are aware of some users having issue with US spec PCV on European spec bikes. The last bit bothers me a bit.

Am sure there are many PCV users here with bikes from US, Europe and SA. Anybody here as any insights in to PCV specifics ?

Cheers

I believe the ecu is region specific. So the pcv would have trouble fully communicating with the ecu because of the small coding differences.

Yes, if you go into the ECU re-flash threads you should find some posts from AVC8130, in which he discussed differences. I believe you would simply need to pull the ECU to get the exact part number to know if yours is common to the North American, French, or whomever else.

Thanks guys. I will take out the PCV this weekend to prepare the reflash and check Part number., although I have already checked its a South African import. Will check if there is a PC dealer in Australia and ST in AU is also a SA import.

I just happened to think that with your VIN, your dealer ought to be able to look up the p/n so you don't have to go to the trouble of removing the ECU.

If it physically fits it will work. The provided map might not be optimal for your bike but you can download the right one from the dynojet site. Or better still have it mapped on a dyno. The pcv does not communicate with the ecu. It just interrupts the signal to the injectors and substitutes it with its own signal.

The Power Commander would work fine on your bike, but the maps developed in the U.S., might be a little off for a non-U.S. bike.
