I found a couple dead threads on this piece of kit but none that described results, has anyone here installed the FC on a Super Tenere? I just ordered one for my 14 and I expect it will work well considering my experience with a similar product I installed on a Vstrom. This PCFC is superior to the Dobek I used on my old VStrom in that you can load multiple maps from your PC and switch easily between each. It really gives up nothing to the PCV for my application, I just want to richen the fuel mixture a bit which this will do nicely, comes loaded with maps specific to the ST..... It also uses the same maps as a PCV so you can download right from dynojet or create custom. You just can't hook up the extras as a PCV offers....speed shifter not needed! I'll give a report after a ride or two. Anyone have experience with this on a Super Ten?

I installed one last year and it works great. Not only can you install different tunes but you can manually manipulate fuel etc. i loaded a map from Karson.

Can you plug in and run it on a dyno to get a custom map?

Derekj, could you elaborate some? I'm committed now, part is on the way... so looking for you approval! What sort of improvement did you find with the FC?

yoyo, here's a vid from dynojet that shows some of what the fc can do. I think the answer to your question is 'definitely maybe '

So, I had Anthony remap my ecu and felt a night and day difference . then i bought the fc and downloaded several maps from different users and after running a few , settled for one from Karson. the reason I went for a fuel controller as apposed to a power commander V with auto tuning is because we cant add timing only fuel. Another reason is that we can download multiple maps and with a flick of a dial, we can change them. We can also change the low, mid and high by adding or subtracting fuel on the fly if you can reach the dial. Having it as a manual setting is great as it allows for the best of both worlds. I can't comment on its performance on a stock ecu, but can say that it helped a lot in eliminating any slow surges and overall grunt. I have a catless header and yoshi pipe along with the ecu and pc and this , to me, seems like the best deal out there.

A buddy of mine just picked up a used 2013 Super Tenere' with full Arrow headers, exhaust, with no DB killer and Power Commander and bungs installed in the headers. Holy Cow, the throttle and snap-rev response is ridiculous. Man, it sounds like an entirely different animal in comparison to a stock Tenere or compared to mine with just a slip-on muffler. He hopes to ride it for a good test ride this weekend. From a first impression just sitting there idling and grabbing a hand full of throttle throws a ton of air and noise out the back of the exhaust, in a menacing way. Had no idea a Tenere' could growl like this once opened up and fueled like it is. Not sure how the "T" and "S" modes are mapped but I sort of think he may be in for surprise. Kind of intriguing...

Gaps- Did you install your power commander yet? If so, what do you think?

I am considering getting a power commander or have Anthony flash my ECU.

Finished the install and took a first ride with the pc fc installed. I'm pleased, this is right out of the box on the base map and it stomps. Running nice and smooth and seems to have picked up a bunch of grunt at low rpm. I expect my mpg will drop a bit but I'll take it, never felt my ST run happier.
