poor running

having trouble with 2010 xt 1200 .out yesterday on bike , after 200 miles had to stop for road works when continued with journey bike wouldnt rev past 3000 rpm and had now power. after drining for a little while like this it started to pick up a bit and power was back to normal but it was very noisy and was miss firing, felt like it was a petrol problem but am not sure as only have bike 2 months. checked fault code on clock and it comes up as 14 . any help directing me in right direction would be helpful. bike was serviced when i got it. im in ireland its uk moder bike.
