There are so many ride groups based out of Facebook. I understand your point, but it's your loss as well.
I don't know that I'm losing out, I spent five days up in BC attending a FJR rally this past June. In September I'll be attending FJRay's memorial that some of you know. Last year I attended three rally's three weeks in a row, 1st in Colorado Spring, CO. 2nd in Bridgeport, CA. 3rd in La Pine OR for Ray's last Rebun Run (he died unexpectedly three weeks later). All of this was posted on forms, not some elitist deal.
I've met a lot of good folks through the forms, I know up here (PNW) that some of those cool Faceboot's look down at you if your bike isn't filthy and aren't bragging about riding single track. I'm 70 and just fine riding the occasional dirt road, I'm past getting beat up. I'll be doing the TOP of the WORLD and maybe Dalton agin and already have enough not crazy folks to do it with.
Also a fellow only can do so much PC crap without the wife complaining.
