Please tell me Im not stupid, windshield differences between '12 & '14

I went and ordered a madstad windshield thing the other day from a website Ive never seen, and when I got it the instructions say for '14+. I ordered one for a 12+ and this thing is no where near fitting. The company swears its the same part from madstad (even tho it doesnt look like the picture at all) and is trying to argue with me about it and is giving me the run around


so, am I just doing something wrong or is there a difference?

I do believe that you have to remove the '14 screen bracket to fit the Madstad unit, but the screen will not fit a '12 unit, the windshield forks are the same, so if you use an older bracket you would also need and older style screen due to holes pacing so, as previously stated.

see, this is where im getting screwed up. no where does it say to do that in the instructions and the picture on the site is different than what i have in my hands. the tabs to mount the windshield point out, towards the hand guards, the pics on the site (and other videos ive seen) have them pointing in. ill take another look later but i really dont see there being something new i havent seen yet, but you never know
