Due to a back problem that is contuing to worsen..I must give up riding. I need to get some pics and post an add, but am trying to get a price (realistic) to set for this pristine bike. The bike is:

2012 Yamaha Super Tenere Raven
2000 miles
Warranty until June of 2013
MRA Vario Windscreen
Sargent Seat (rider and pillion)
Jesse Bags Odysee II's silver
Rumbux C-bars and skid plate
Tourtech fat foot
Oil and FD changed at 102 miles and again at 600.
Bike is in Pristine condition and has never seen dirt or gravel. Broken in per manf specs and owned by a fairly crippled old man.

As soon as I can get a asking price figured out...I will post this bike up for sale on our forum. I would like to thank everyone who has assisted me in setting this bike up and convincing me to purchase it...probably one of the best bikes that I have ever owned in the 30+ years of riding....wish that it was not coming to an end!

Thanks and have a grand day.

I would say that I have seen others with bags and a few acc, sell around 12-13 that you should be around that. Like $13,000 would be a good price for someone. Since a New one at the dealer would be 14,5 plus without extras.

Some lucky fella is gonna get a Rumbux equipped bike!

It better get bought by someone who mounts some K60's and uses them. Otherwise, that difficult to get crash protection is pure pose.

Sorry about the health issue. Wish you could experience some Adventure on your Adventure machine. You built it.

If I didn't have mine, I would give you msrp of a new one in a heart beat! Then sell the Jessie's for my discount.

Good luck sir.

@ DaFoole,

I would greatly appreciate the assistance. I am not that savy with computers and I am unsure as to how to post the pics... My wife and I will try to get the camera out and get some pictures and I will contact you as soon as I get them.
I guess it looks like I will be asking $13,500 for the bike and will go from there. It also has the OEM winglets but I had them vinyle wrapped to match my MRA windscreen (dark tint). Thanks to all!

Rexford

This will be a great bike for someone.

If you want to get the best return on your bike, separate off the accessories and let some Tenere owners have a crack at buying them separately.

I don't think $13,500 is realistic. I mean, it sounds like a clean and well equipped bike, but new ones are selling for $11,500 in some areas of the country. Granted, they are not equipped with Jesses and the other stuff, but still, I'd be hard pressed to buy yours for that when I could buy a brand new one for $2k less and equip it myself.

Sorry Rexford,

You are getting conflicting info. Thanks to me, I guess.
But I would give you $13,500 without a moments haggle.

If those fellas are right and I'm the crazy one, then I suspect the fella suggesting you parting out the Jessie's and the Rumbux is the genius. You end up with your asking price, but by combining revenue from more than one buyer.

Just to make it easier to consider that route, I will give you whatever you ask for the Rumbux. You got the whole setup?

Sorry to hear about your health issues, I hope you get better!
the price is well worth what you are asking for it. don't let someone guilt you into selling for less just because Joe Blow Stealership in BFE has them on his floor for $11,500. You've got the Jesse bags, that's $1000 minimum there, and you have the Rumbux crash bars, that's about what, $750?
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, if YOU think the bike is worth $14,000, then ask that for it.
I've spent a pretty penny for some of the bikes in MY collection, and in my mind, they are worth every penny.
That's what matters...

No one's guilting him into selling it at a lower price, it's simple economics.

He asked what a good price would be.

If the guy wants to sell it, it seems to be a little unreasonable to price it over the cost of a comparable new model.

Fair point. And there are buyers that will likely share your view.

But a comparable model would be an S10 with Jessies, Rumbux, and Sargent seats. That's all premium $$ add-ons. I would think there are also buyers that would share my view. Probably fewer. But just takes 1. :)

Best of luck with the sale. Should you decide to part out any of the extras, I would be interested in the Jesses.

The whole basis of the discussion is why it is generally more "profitable" to sell the accessories separately. Off the bike they will command 50-75% of their original value back. On the bike, all told, they MIGHT add $1k to the value TO THE RIGHT BUYER.

I just purchased this bike and it was just as described, "like new" and with some good looking farkles. Doing business with Rexford was great and he Is even more ocd about his motorcycle maintenance than i am which i can appreciate as the new owner of the S10.

I'm really happy it found a good home. Texas, to boot.

And yes, it's a sweetly farkled sample.

(Except those nasty crash bars and skid plate. Pathetic stuff. Really ruins the "look" of the bike too. Let me know when you correct that issue. I'm a scrap metal collector and will be happy to take the rubbish off your hands. No charge for pickup either)
