Keeping this thread rolling.........bought my fourth Super Tenere last week-----a used 2015 Red standard with OEM Yamaha bags. I purchased a new 2012 PDP Blue S10 which was delivered August 2011, rode it 21,500 miles and sold it to a person who had a WTB ad on this site, bought a new White 2013 S10 in March 2013, rode it 36,500 miles, traded it on a left over (great deal) Matte Gray 2013 in November 2015
(still riding it as it only has 21,500 miles and is set up nicely), AND last week I bought the used, like new 2015 Red S10............because I wanted the OEM cruise control!!!

I plan on keeping the 2013 S10 and using it as my local bike (along with my KLR650) and using the 2015 S10 as the trip bike. I have two long trips coming up back-to-back in June/July----both bikes will have new rear tires mounted up so I can use the 2013 for the New England/NE trip and the 2015 for the Canadian Rocky trip.

The 2013 has Micatech 45 liter bags mounted on SW Motech racks and is running a 24" Parabellum windshield.................the 2015 is running the OEM luggage and a 24" National Cycle V-Stream windshield.

The moral of the story.....the only thing better than one Tenere is two Tenere'.

4th S10. Brilliant. What a bike!
It would be interesting in hearing your personal comments on the differences between the two generations if possible?

And you bought all four for yourself, where Dit Dad bought four but two of each were for Dirt Mom. You must have come across some really good deals.

Not knocking your question or discouraging answers but if you search on the differences between generations and you'll find a lot of existing discussion.

No point and no harm - just trying to be helpful and all that.
