So I picked up my new bike yesterday, an ex demo 14 model. Today some 1950km later I have it at home. Some random thoughts about the new toy:

1: I love it, so comfy, but that far may have been a stretch (ouch, my pelvis!). May investigate seating options
2: The high beams predictably suck, driving lights to be added
3: The screen/gps mount bar wobbles more than I'd like it to, might have to look at the mounts
4: Cruise control rocks! No issue there!
5: May have to look into a windscreen extender or similar
6: Standard exhaust note is actually not as bad as I expected, may still save for an exhaust though

As soon as i can figure out how to add pics I'll do that! ???

Congrats ::008::
As for number 3, there is a thread on the site about adding stabilizer rods for that reason. No. 5, again numerous threads about what works for people, hours of reading fun while your hips recover ::025::

Congratulations! Just in time for Spring riding weather.

Make sure the windshield/bracket is aligned properly. If it is not the tighteners (usually the right side) will loosen as you ride plus vibrate/move more we like. I have the Yamaha OEM Tall Windshield that I have not installed though I am looking forward to in our cooler months. The shape of the windshield is better than the stock Smaller windshield.

Put 5,000 miles on your 2014 Super Tenere before you get an opinion. Your opinion will become better with every 500 miles.

This is exactly what was happening. Must do some searching! Thanks!

I will search about the stabilizers as well, thanks again

Mine did it twice and has not come loose since I aligned/paired the bracket correctly. Look at the bracket pieces to see how they align/pair.

Apparently high beams just need to be adjusted, less than impressive out of the factory however. I guess the boys on the headlight end at the Yami plant are drinking too much saki.

I don't think it's just yamaha though, I've never had a japanese built anything with decent high beams. I guess there's so much artificial light over there that there's no need! :lamp:
