So how about it? What say ye? Anyone up for a cruise on over to Phil's Fish Market for lunch?

This is actually a ride put on by Cycle Specialties out of Modesto but I'm going with them on it.

We can meet at Cycle Specialties around 0800 or we could slab it together from Folsom. I am leaving at 0600 or so from my house.

If anyone wants to tag along from Folsom, I'll drive through the Chevron parking lot at the corner of Iron Point and Prairie City by 0615. Have your tank full and we'll head off from there. It will be all slab to the dealership. I'll have B2B capability on channel 2 FRS/GMRS.

The trip back can be pretty much anything or nothing. Direct, Hwy 1, Golden Gate Bridge, etc.

Wow, a Sunday ride! Actually, I'd like to go, depending on whether my Aerostitch order arrives. My first little bit of heated stuff. Not even their full vest, but it's more than I've ever used before. I'll go check the tracking number, didn't even check when they sent the info.

So, how was the ride?
LOL, I woke up fine. Puttered a little bit. Laid down for a couple minutes and poof, it was four hours later. Body musta needed it. Catch you next time around.

It was great!! Ended up being 450 miles for me, round trip. Cold this morning but Mr. Gerbing took care of that!! 37 degrees F was the coldest and that was from Folsom to Modesto on the way down. Back down to 46 by the time I got home at 530 tonight.

What did the shop think of the new Super Tenere? Was wondering since its a competitive product for them.

I wanted to go, but had 2 issues:

1) Worked graveyard, and didn't think riding all day would be safe on 3 hours of sleep.
2) Probably got my name taken of the shop's Christmas card list when I turned in a lemoned F800GS earlier this year. (Used to do the monthly Adventure Rides led by Gail).

Had quite a few check it out and inquire. I would say that, overall, the impression of the general populous was that the S10 has brought the fight, and the fight is good.

Gail is doing the adventure ride next Sunday but I have to work so can't go. Looks to be a good ride too.
