Just got my first super 10! Was wondering if there is a way to tell if the computer has been mapped! I don't know the history in this bike?
Just that it is a 2012 with 13k and has a lot of upgrades! Just missing heated grips!

Twist it !!!

Stock mapping has power restriction in 1/2/3 gears.

Upgraded mapping usually remove this restriction.

My Engine breaking went away when I had a flash done on mine!!
Try it in sport mode you will feel the motor pull your RPM's down when you decelerate.
If you need to use the breaks to slow down you may have a flash done, if it accelerates like a scalded Cat front end wants to launch in S mode you may have a flash.
Yes the 3 to 4 k rpm range felt like I was tied to a rope before I had the flash done, dumpy jerky and restricted feel.

Welcome aboard!

The flash is frequently only done to the sport mode, so folks keep the gentler power delivery of touring mode when in rain, 2-up, etc.

The sport mode flash is also fairly similar to the clutch jumper mod (CJM) through much of the power range. You could stick a fuse into the clutch switch connector beneath the left switch cluster to see if there is a big change between how your Sport mode is, and sport mode with the CJM.

From http://www.yamahasupertenere.com/index.php?topic=4486.0

The CJM does have an very big negative to be aware of, as explained here in the end of the first post:

And finally, for those with bikes in the 2014 model year or later, this all doesn't apply to you. Yamaha changed the engine design slightly which required changing ECU maps and they also loosened the restrictions of the 2010-2013.

Thanks all for replying! Just got back from a ride in the mountains(in Colorado) . Didn't get to open it up in the twists, to much ice and water on the north side of the roads. I love this bike, sold my Harley softail for it, and I've upgraded from my 2012 KLR650 (Maybe it'll sale this next spring).

Think that I'll try the jumper trick. I think that this has such a great power compared to the KLR, was hoping that the shifting can be made smother!

Skiftning gear smoother,..... Grease the gear pivot ( very Easy job ) you just take the bolt out .. Clean it and re-Grease it . I have to do this about 2-3 Times' A year to keep it really smooth... Also clean the black bolt that hold the clutch lever and Grease witch silicongrease ....

Enyoy the new fantastiskt feeling with Easy changing gear

The mini fuse CJM was a good introduction to what potential this engine can produce but after I had my Flash as others pointed out it is like night and day compared to the cheap alternative CJM.
AC did a great job although I do miss a bit of the engine breaking I can live without it less jerky feel on detailed dirt roads with rocks, dips, small washouts and tight switchbacks.
Fantastic feel in sport mode.

Yes ... BUT why take the hole linkege of ::) ::) ::) , when you only ned the bolt to re-Grease ?

A little bit like jump over the river to get some water ::008:: ::008::
You are right, and for the most part the way you did it is the way all of us do it, the dis-mantling of the complete linkage was to demonstrate how easy it was to clean and lube all of it, also shows (IIRC) the dis-assembly of the foot brake lever and cleaning and lubing.
