Great review, thanks for posting up the link. I'm surprised they perform so well in rain. Might need to give them a shot.

great tire. I'm on my second rear.
As far as wear....it all depends on who's riding it. My first one lasted 7km, the second one is at 6km and almost gone. The fronts will wear well past 12km.
They are great off road, sing to you on road (120 km/h and up) grip well in the wet, and In the cold, and grip well right to the edge.
I think i'll be wearing two rears to one front.
I recommend them.

Greg are you riding the Dakar or standard 3-ply?

morning TC,
the first rear was a Dakar 150 width. (7700km) 3000km was in very fun California.
The second one is a 140 width 50/50 MItas (3 ply).
I have two more 150 width 50/50 in the garage along with a new front.
Yes they don't last long, but then again, inmate Camshaft only got 10xxxkm from his k60.

I think the more gravel you ride, the less tire you will have left at the end of day

Indeed, I have 10000 km on the rear K60. However, there is still another 2 or 3 thousand km left on it. I really like the K60's but, based on Greg's experience with the Mitas, I will try them next.....

Two thumbs up and thank you very much for the review. I especially appreciate your note about comfortably airing-down to 20psi without a worry.

I have 10,000 MILES on my rear K60, and it's about to be kissing the wear bars. I have 15,000 on the front. I'd love to try the Mitas as well, but have really enjoyed getting three trips out of the K60s (3 1/2 out of the front), so I'll probably go with them again.

I am definitely getting a set of these next spring when my K60's wear out. They look a lot like the Mefos in tread pattern. With the kind of riding I do, I think they will be as close to perfect as I will be able to find. Thanks for the write up.

As I stated.
The Mitas will NOT outlast the K60'S but they are better off road, and in the wet IMO.
