Hi,

I am looking for a passenger seat backrest, anybody use it? Any recommendations?

I am not too fond of the tail case

Thanks in advance.

I am in the same situation. Actually considering adding the Jesse Top box to use as a backrest. The extra storage space would be nice too!

Worked with a local machine shop and fabricated one out of 1/4" stainless steel. It is a little overkill but it works and the wifey says it doesn't sway or move. Added a back rest pad from a Kawa 900 Tourer. Black powder coated.

Looks great. I guess I have to do something like that.

So many after market parts for the tenere and no one sells a backrest :))

I ran into the same thing, no backrest available. It wasn't hard to make especially with a CNC. If you decide to go this route one thing I will recommend is that the holes that match up to the rack be slotted. It was easier to match up the holes plus I can slide/adjust it forward or backwards. Total cost was 140.00 after black powder coating.
