Today I installed the Parabellum 24" screen with Greg's windshield adjuster.
I had Parabellum move the mounting holes up 2.5" and it works great. I can see over the shield in the low position and raised it will block foul weather.

The Parabellum is a great shield and very well made. Edges are smooth and even and very clear optically.

Eagerly await your take on the screen, Jim

Been waiting for someone to do this. Waiting for your report.

Hi Jim.

Glad it's working out for you.
FYI - I have pointed out to another inmate previously who posted pics of the adjuster, You have similarily installed the screen mount plates upside down (opp hand).

Should be:

This will allow the screen to go down more, but not up as high.

Greg.

I am 5'11" with a 30" inseam. I also sit upright. With the shield in the same tilt as the OEM and down all the way, I can see over the shield, or in other words the top line of the shield hits just below my eye.
In this position there is no buffeting and a very quite air space. When I raise the shield up all the way, I am looking through it, which is what I wanted for really bad weather.

The shield really does it's job and would not work well in really hot weather. I will use the stock shield for the summer.

If you lay the Parabellum toward you, it will let more air under it and more air in your face.

All in all I really like the way the shield works with Greg's bracket.

Of course the holes need to be drilled up 2.5 inches on the shield from the stock drill point. That is the secret to having it work well with the adjuster bracket, at least on mine.. ymmv. lol

I am going to retract the last sentence, but leave it in case it will work with the bracket in a different configuration, like Greg suggest. The way it is works fine for me, but may not work in the other config.
I pm'd Greg and he does not know what the difference in inches comparing mine to his, so maybe someone could check that.

With the shield in a higher position, it may put more of a strain on the OEM mounting. I have not noticed a problem and had a Calsi in the same config.

I am leaving on a trip to the Ozarks in a couple of days and will have a better report.

Thanks Greg.. Learn something new everyday. LOL..
In the position I have them in now, the shield is doing what I need, but I will look at that when I return from my trip.
